We are keenly aware the best route out of poverty for a young person is education. Over the last 5 years the Joshua tree has been building strong roots in the Bredasdorp community by offering skills training and creative employment to those living in poor and precarious circumstances. Our holistic approach supports not only the craftsmen and women, but also their families.
With this purpose at the forefront of our philosophy, The Joshua tree has started an education fund in November 2015. The fund will give assistance to the children of the employees in the form of contributions to school fees, the purchase of books and uniforms and help with the costs of extra-curricular activities. The fund is mainly financed from individual donor’s and overseas sales.
If you would like to help in the education fund of our Joshua tree children, please contact Emily Wichall on 072 553 8314.
